A couple days ago in the Starbucks that I frequently study at I noticed a couple in their early 40’s sitting together on a chair smoochin’ it up – a good way to ruin my study time. But that was a minor inconvenience at most. I glanced around, and noticed in the chair across from [...]

First Day of School
Just finished my first day of grad school. Greek is going to be a ton of work. Theology III (Jesus and salvation) will be fun. I don’t have Hermeneutics until next week, so I’ll have to wait and see. Nothing too exciting happened.
Though, I did score a sweet water bottle!

Consecration
The song Consecration:
There then to Thee Thine own I leave,
Mold as Thou wilt my passive clay;
But let me all Thy stamp receive,
But let me all Thy words obey.
Serve with a single heart and eye,

Spurgeon and Christian Radio
Just after writing last night’s post, I went to bed and read the following. As usual, Spurgeon says what I try to say, but much more eloquently and powerfully.

Matthew Henry
A Muslim friend I spoke with is from a sect that believes that we will never see the face of God – now, on [...]

Lessons from the Middle East
I am selfish.
Arab people are kind, hospitable, generous, and can’t help but serve you. I am not like that. I know I should be, but too often I am not. I don’t believe the Gospel like I should. At some level I don’t believe that others are more important than I am, that they are [...]

Who is it all about?
I just purchased a laptop bag. Along the way to completing this task I noticed that one company’s tagline was, “It’s all about you.” I shouldn’t be surprised at this, as I can’t think of anything more American than that kind of a statement.
At work today I listened to a talk Mark Driscoll (of Mars [...]

Back from the Middle East
I’m back! If you would like to know more about my trip, let me know and I’d love to sit down and chat about it. Hopefully, as time permits, I will post some photos and stories from the trip over the coming weeks.
